Swimming

We joined swimming lessons at the last minute (and we have enough children) so they added classes (one of the benefits of have a lot of children)

Miriam succeeds at everything she tries, swimming-wise.  And she has become a less timid swimmer, not afraid to try new things.

Caleb isn't so sold on swimming lessons anymore.  But he humors Mom.

We end up spending the whole morning at the swimming pool.  Luckily, there is a park nearby.  We also play games, string beads and make up our own games.

As always, after the initial shyness, Kristina just took off and worked hard to accomplish everything that was asked of her.

Anastasia really took off in swimming.  She just dives right in (litterally  and figuratively) and goes.

Jonas is working hard to become used to getting his face in the water.  He tires so easily but just keeps plugging away.

Ryah is improving with her swimming.  What she lacks in skill and form she definately makes up with gumption and stickedy-to-itey.

Ryah didn't like the idea of the teacher helping her off the board so she dug down deep and found the courage to jump herself.

Elijah finally got a teacher that resonates with him.  Though Keith and I got him to stick his face in the water multiple times he would never do it for a teacher, until he got this boy (sorry, can't remember his name)

He loved pouring water on the teacher's head......

But not so much when the teacher returned the favor.

The teachers also let Jonas play at lifeguarding.
