Miriam and Kristina thought it wasn't fair that everyone else gets birthday cakes, but Mom doesn't. They wanted a beach scene. In an attempt to make the water to look like the sea they used nearly a whole bottle of rootbeer flavoring. They used shell and pebbles to decorate (after scrubbing them, of course).
Add a couple of people in beach attire and you are done. Of course, in true Barbie fashion (at least at our house, anyone else have perpetually naked Barbies?!?!?!?!) she had no clothes on. But a little bit of frosting makes her modest.
Can't wait to see what kind of cake next year brings.
