Happy Birthday, Jonas and Caleb

Caleb and Jonas are getting a little old now for a lot of the things we do for birthdays.  But somethings you will never be too old for.

As is typical this time of year, events and things to do were jammed packed.  I asked the boys what they wanted to do for their cake.  Both of them agreed that this was a good idea.  Bake these car cakes and let everyone decorate their own.
It was a HUGE hit!!!  The boys mixed the cake mix and even tried the coloring thing.  Then we passed them out along with the frosting.  I didn't take too many pictures (because I was decorating too).  But these are some that I got...

Caleb is fast becoming an adult.  He sounds so much like Keith I often can't tell which one is talking without looking.  He is soft spoken and deliberate in everything he does.  He loves going to seminary and is often caught commenting (though the teacher has to quiet down the class to be able to hear him).
Jonas is getting taller and is on the edge between teen and boy.  He'll play for hours with lincoln logs or building a paper frog army, but thinks deeply and often says the most profound comments.  He still keeps us in stitches with the way  he strings words together and tells stories.  He works his way through high-school-amounts of homework and still finds time to teach his sisters the dance moves he is learning at school.

We love you, boys!  You are great examples!  And we are so glad to have such faithful bearers of the Priesthood in our house!!
