Our Home is Expanding All Over the Place

This time our home is expanding by 40 feet...... 40 scratchy, noisy, adorable feet.

We have wanted to get chickens ever since we had to give up the last chickens for the first building project.

Things just happened to come together.  Neighbor was selling his kennel.

Elijah was so excited.  And I was mean telling him on monday that we were getting chicks on wednesday.  He has been hovering over them night and day.  If we leave he says "I can't wait to see Naku (his name for one of them) again."

Those chicks get lots of lovin' and lots of names.

And more lovin'!

Now if they can just survive to produce some eggs.

I was framed!!

Materials are delivered.... a day early.

The framers show up... a day early as well.

Now I will take you on a tour from the back door.

OUT BACK DOOR:  this is the only picture I got of just the rest of the concrete slab.

But there are LOTS of these.

This is the same concrete guy that did our first garage floor.

Very nice man, who fields all kinds of questions from kids (and adults).

And watching him was like watching a ballet.

Elijah wanted to go walk in the mud too..........

I didn't get the end of the process as we had to leave.  But it looked beautiful!  And it waited a whole hour after he was done to rain.
