Ow! Ow! Ow!

At the twising of my arm by a few people on facebook I will torture you all with some pictures of my oil painting.
This one is the first one I did.  I almost said "ever" but there was that one that I did after my mission (with paints pirated from Sam) of a picture of me when I was 2 years old.  Turned out to be a black baby.  LOL
I feel like the teacher did most of the grass parts in the front trying to show me what to do.  This one took every class but 2.  When I finished it it was very liberating.  I felt like I could do stuff now and didn't have to wait for the teacher to tell me what to do next.
(oh, don't mind the dirty plates behind :)  )

I had to skip the second to last class as Keith couldn't be home with the kids.  So the last one I did this.  It is supposed to be an ocean scene looking out of a cave.  Obviously I haven't gotten to the cave or the plant that is supposed to be at the left.
Then I came home with a palate full of colors, to Keith helping his dad fix the internet for the apartments (read: long hours of talking on the phone) so I pulled out another canvas and did this:
This one will be a lighthouse (and surrounding buildings) in front.  There is monster-creating in progress.  I have about 4 more ideas for paintings that I want to attempt.  Too bad that oil painting and kids don't really mix  :)

  1. You go girl! BEAUTIFUL work! Will you paint something for me? ;)
I have an oil painting from Grandma Jones and I love it. It's one of the only things hanging up in my house.
You are SO talented! I think I'd only be able to attempt paint by numbers. . . maybe.

    love you!
